April 27: To help prepare for your final exam, which is next Monday, May 4, from 7:30-9:30pm, here is a sample final exam and some extra extra practice problems. Note that these are not graded, and I don't post solutions, although I'm happy to discuss both the rubric and solutions if you have questions. All questions included are examples that I've used for an exam before, or would consider appropriate for one.
April 22: Homework 8 is now posted; this one will be graded orally, so please go sign up on Canvas. I'll have everything posted in the next hour or so, so you will just have to sign up for a group and schedule a spot that works for all of you.
April 20: With apologies, I need to cancel office hour for this morning. I'll have extra office hours on Wednesday from 2:30-3:30pm to make it up, or message me and we can talk on zoom during the usual time today.
April 14: Homework 7 is available, and will be due next Thurday. Note that HW8 will be orally presented on April 30 , and will be posted by next Wednesday.
March 31: Homework 6 is a short essay, and will be due on Monday April 13, submitted via Canvas/Gradescope. Please read the description carefully, and email or come see me if you have any questions about what paper to choose.
March 23: Homework 5 is now available; it will be due on Friday, April 3, on Canvas/Gradescope.
March 5: Homework 4 is now available; it will be due on Friday, March 20, on Canvas/Gradescope.
Feb. 24: To help prepare for your midterm exam, which is next Tuesday, March 3, in class, here is a sample midterm and some extra extra practice problems. Note that these are not graded, and you are not expected to submit any of them! But, all are examples of questions I've given in past semesters for an exam.
Feb. 17: Homework 3 is available; it will be due on Friday, Feb. 27, by 11:59pm via Gradescope/Canvas.
Feb 5: Homework 2 is available; it will be orally graded on Monday Feb 16 and Tuesday Feb 17. Signups will open up early next week on Canvas; stay tuned for instructions.
Jan 28: Due to a scheduling conflict, TA office hours are moving to Friday, 11am-1pm, in 150M Fitz. Monday and Thursday office hours are unchanged.
Jan 25: Homework 1 is available; it will be due on Thursday, Feb. 5, by 11:59pm via Gradescope/Canvas.
Jan 15: Adding my office hours, tentatively set for Monday 10-11am and Thursday 2-3pm in my office. Our TA Shankha will have office hours Wedesday from 1-3pm in 150M Fitzpatrick. If these don't work, let me know and we can always find another time as needed!

Jan 9: In the worst timing ever, I will be traveling out of town for our first day of class. Instead of a sub, I've decided to assign a longer introductor reading and make a Panapto video introducing the class, syllabus, and structure, as well as an introductory survey to let me learn more about you. Please refer to Canvas to watch the video, and make sure to do the survey and the first reading assignment before Wednesday at 11:59pm. I will see you Thursday for our first in person class!
